OpenStack has seen phenomenal growth over the past four years. The project itself is made up of many smaller projects, all orchestrated together from a release and management angle. Neutron is the networking layer in OpenStack. This layer is responsible for providing everything from virtual networks for tenants to building blocks for Network Functional Virtualization applications. This talk will cover the upcoming changes for the “Juno” release of Neutron, deep diving into each. This will include new enhancements around IPv6 support, enhanced Distributed Virtual Routing, and migration from nova-network to Neutron.
