Dong Wei

Hewlett-Packard Co
Chief Architect for the Unified Extensible Firmware Interface (UEFI) and Advanced Configuration & Power Interface (ACPI)
Dong Wei is an HP Fellow. He is HP's chief architect for the Unified Extensible Firmware Interface (UEFI) and Advanced Configuration & Power Interface (ACPI). His pursuits have led the adoption of UEFI technology within and beyond HP, both as an individual contributor and as Chief Executive of the UEFI Forum. Mr. Wei was the former ACPI SIG secretary and currently serves as co-chair of the ACPI Working Group under the UEFI Forum. His efforts have helped extend UEFI technology from Superdome servers to PCs, storage and networking devices, printers and scanners, and most recently to HP ProLiant servers and blades. From systems built around Itanium to x86 and now ARM processors, thousands of firmware engineers now use UEFI as the lingua franca of modern firmware development.
